This bourbon chocolate milkshake is the perfect adult shake! Use vanilla ice cream, your favorite bourbon, and baking cocoa for this combination dessert/nightcap!
I have exciting news everyone!
I am one of the new Brand Ambassadors for Rodelle! If you’re new to Rodelle, they develop superior baking extracts and gourmet spice blends (and are some of my favorite additions to my spice rack!)
This all came about after I won the Windy City Bloggers/Rodelle blogger contest with my adaptation of Rodelle’s carrot cake. In addition to my goodie bag of awesome Rodelle products, I was asked if I wanted to be a brand ambassador too. As you can imagine, I quickly said yes!
What does this mean for you, my readers? For starters, every couple of months I am going to share a delicious recipe using Rodelle products. Today’s boozy bourbon chocolate milkshake is the first one!
Also, I’ll be giving away goodie bags (like the one that I won!) to you, my readers too. (Scroll down for today’s giveaway). Otherwise, it will be business as usual here at Honey and Birch and I’ll be enjoying all the Rodelle-inspired recipes I create.
Bourbon Chocolate Milkshake
This bourbon chocolate milkshake is an adaption of two recipes from the Rodelle website: Rodelle Boozy Cocoa Shakes recipe and Rodelle Vanilla Bean infused vodka. It uses both Rodelle Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans and Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa.
Instead of vodka, I decided to use bourbon. You know me and my love of bourbon. The day before you want to make these shakes, get your bourbon ready. Split 2 vanilla beans and put them in a mason jar, then cover them with the alcohol.
If you think you are going to make this recipe another day, do this step now so that the bourbon is ready for you when you are ready for it.
Sift your dry ingredients together in a small bowl. As you can see from the picture above, it can get a little messy so make sure your bowl is big enough for your sifting. Then combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend it up. It’s not a difficult recipe to make but definitely is a delicious one.
I see this recipe making it to the front of your “To-Make” list and many boozy milkshakes in your future!
This boozy bourbon chocolate milkshake is the perfect adult shake! Make one on a hot summer day or as a combination dessert/nightcap!
