This adult Mexican chocolate milkshake recipe is a delicious blend of chocolate, cinnamon, chipotle chile powder and Cafe Patron!
Did you know there is a whole world of recipe groups on Facebook? I found out last week and I lost a few hours… each day… looking through them all. I have seen a lot of food blogs but I found so many I hadn’t heard of yet thanks to the FB recipe groups.
There are groups for baking, several for desserts only, a ton that are general food groups. I found one that shares a specific topic each month and August was pasta month. You know I have a lot of pasta recipes and I shared a bunch of them.
One of my favorites is a new group – Friday Cocktails (<– click to check them out!) – everyone there loves boozy milkshakes. As you can guess, I immediately felt right at home. Be still my heart, a whole group of alcoholic shake lovers – I only wish I had found it sooner!
I had been holding this boozy Mexican chocolate milkshake recipe for a rainy day and the bloggers in that group inspired me to share it now.
Adult Mexican Chocolate Milkshake Recipe
Mexican chocolate combines the flavors of chocolate, cinnamon and some kind of hot peppers. Yes, yes, and more yes. To that I added one of my favorite liqueurs – Cafe Patron – and this adult chocolate milkshake recipe was created.
In case you were wondering, this is not a sponsored post – I just have an affinity for Cafe Patron. (I talked about it one of my other posts in case you were wondering.)

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp chipotle chili powder
