Thank you Bumble Bee Seafoods for sponsoring this post. Try Bumble Bee Sensations® Seasoned Tuna or Bumble Bee® Prime Fillet® Gourmet Flavors Albacore Tuna in your recipes this summer!

Spicy food is the biggest weakness Mr. B. and I have. We are hopelessly addicted to it – Mr. B sometimes carries around a bottle of hot sauce. I would prefer if he didn’t – sometimes I have to carry it in my purse for him.

What if it breaks? Can you image how bad it would be if it broke?

Instead of panicking (it was close there for a minute), I got to thinking. I need to find more ways to add spice to our food that doesn’t require us to bring our favorite hot sauce with us. Items like the Bumble Bee® Prime Fillet® Albacore Tuna with Jalapeños & Olive Oil are perfect for people like us.

Even better when we can stuff hot stuff into a tomato.

Jalapeno Tuna Stuffed Tomato Recipe

This jalapeño tuna stuffed tomato recipe is perfect for summer picnics or for an easy lunch! It’s flavorful and easy to make!

First you need to cut and core your tomatoes. If you’re taking these stuffed tomatoes “to-go”, this can be done ahead of time! Cut off the top carefully, then use a pairing knife and a spoon to remove the tomato insides. Up to you whether you discard the insides or save them.

Then mix up your tuna salad. Throw all of the tuna salad ingredients in a bowl and then stuff it in your tomatoes. I wish I could say it was more complicated to get the end result, but it’s not.

These cute little stuffed tomatoes are super easy to make and super delicious!

Bumble Bee® Prime Fillet® Gourmet Flavors Albacore Tuna is very versatile. If you are preparing the tuna salad ahead of time, use a 5 ounce can.

If you are making it on the road, the 2.5 ounce pouches are perfect! Not only does it combine the highest quality albacore tuna with the finest, restaurant-inspired ingredients, it is also convenient and nutritious.

I love the crunch that the celery and carrot give this recipe and the cilantro compliments the jalapeño nicely!

With the tomatoes in the garden coming on any day now, a different way to use them up is always appreciated.
